Last weekend was a long weekend for Nina and I, in more ways than one but we arrived home happy and tired. In fact, it took several days for Nina’s grin to subside, so high was she on that much rope and the chance to perform. I’ll be posting some photos of her impish and highly energetic show which earned her the nickname of ‘Little Devil’ and have been promised photos and video by the organisers.
Our delightful hosts, Alicia and ‘The Taxidriver’, did a fantastic job of organising a very busy schedule and looking after us. We were running classes on two days starting at 9am and doing private tuition on all three days, finishing late in th eveneing, with very little time in between, then there were shows at the party on Saturday night with a 5am bed time. We were exhausted but as they say, no rest for the wicked…but the perks are good 😉 Thankfully, there was an excellent little bar restaurant across the road and we did manage to get into town to grab tapas, including a visit to the aptly named Mazmorra (dungeon) bar. It has some very chunky woodwork that would lend itself perfectly to an old style suspension. Oh well, maybe next time we can negotiate its use out of hours or maybe even during hours depending upon clientele?
