I know a lot of people are unhappy about BREXIT but it has been an incredible boost for ESINEM-Rope’s UK sales! Of course, it hasn’t been all roses as some EU customers are now being hit with local taxes and have suffered from the ensuing confusion of the new customs procedures. The absurdity is that US customers can order up to $800 worth of goods without any import charges. So much for a ‘free trade deal’. I can’t help feeling the levying of tax is punishment for daring to leave the EU club. That said, the EU never was a massive market for us anyway and I have not noticed much of a downturn.
Why the increase in sales?
I suppose one factor could be that UK customers are discouraged from buying from abroad due to the addition of 20% VAT. Although, I have noticed that the new style jute, NewAsa, and linen hemp, NewAma, have been selling very well, as is Clara Premium jute. As with all new products, it takes a little time for the word to get out. It seems people are beginning to realise that Clara Premium has raised the bar, with one of my trade customers almost cleaning me out with an order of 4,000 meters. This big order caught me by surprise so I’m expecting to run out very soon as it will take a couple of months to get the replacement order of 40,000 meters as it is coming direct from source in India where the raw material is grown. If you want it, get it now.
Over the past few weeks, there has also been a massive increase in orders for coloured jute and bamboo. I suspect this is a result of reputation, price and the very wide choice of colours. It seems my prices are pretty hard to beat when you factor in free shipping with the option of a small uplift for tracked services.
Thank you to my repeat customers
I really must thank all my loyal customers for the continued success of ESINEM-Rope. I’m constantly surprised to see how long some of you have been with me and gratified by the massive number of repeat orders. I try to keep my prices down and always strive to improve the products. I value your feedback so please feel free to get in touch and tell me what could be done better, how products could be improved or what I should sell that I don’t already offer.
Electrifying new addition
I’ll be adding one new product very soon, violet wands. I have an initial order of these delightful devices arriving soon. Until now, I have only been aware of the availability of antiques of dubious safety or extremely expensive restored ones. If you don’t know what they are, they were originally designed as quack cure-all medical devices. However, many kinksters discovered that they are great for SM play as they deliver a wonderful tingly static shock via a selection of glass fittings (see below). If you hold one of the fittings, the effect can be delivered through any part of your anatomy that makes contact with your partner. This includes the top’s tongue…I’ll leave it to you what you do with this information 😉
UPDATE: Violet wands have arrived
I should have waited 24 hours before writing this post as the postman has just delivered a dozen violet wands. I will list these very shortly. However, I will make an unboxing video to give you a little more information.
My first impression is very good. I confess that I initially suspected the first one was faulty as it didn’t make any noise when I turned it on. I have a vintage one that is a similar shape and that makes a loud buzzing like an angry bee on steroids. The old style ones use a mechanical contact breaker that works like an electric door-bell, i.e. using a magnetic coil. I assume that these days everything has moved on and these must be solid state with no moving parts as operation is silent bar the static crackle. The fittings light up orange, as opposed to the usual violet colour. The good news for my overseas customers is that they come with a 2-pin plug and, for us in the UK, there is a 3-pin adapter. I believe they run on anything from 110v to 240v UK voltage but I need to double check, obviously.
