We recently ran a couple of on-line shibari classes for a kink and sex-positive group on Facebook called Vermilion, which we ran using Zoom. They have been running numerous Zoom video conferencing sessions to help keep people sane during lockdown, so when they extended an invitation, we were happy to help.
The way they work is with a donation system where voluntary contributions are split between the group’s admin and the presenters. We opted to donate our share the NHS Together, which co-ordinates charities for our National Health Service. We wanted to help out because our front-line staff are doing a sterling job, despite the risks and shortage of personal protective equipment and other essential supplies.
Free shibari tutorials
As you might know, we have a large number of free tutorials on ShibariClasses and my YouTube channel, from which we hope you have benefitted. Many of you have gone on to buy tutorials, many haven’t, which is fine. If you think what you have learned is worth the price of a coffee or maybe more, please pass it on to help our brave nurses, doctors and other essential front-liners. They deserve it! So, we have started a campaign to raise money for NHS charities with a donation of our own which is running on Facebook but you can also contribute here. Please give what you can.
