Well, it looks like we are finally there. The techies at Eurovps seem seem to have got the server sorted out and Hans, the helpful gent from Ghent, has been doing some fine tuning to memory handling and has hunted down the last remaining errors in the log. Apparently, you should get a large % of pages loading in under 0.8 secs and that’s smokin’ fast! The monitoring software says 90% users will be happy all the time according to the criteria set. That’s a pretty impressive improvement as it seems that most of time the performance was tolerable and, at peak times, frustratingly slow.
That’s one more thing off my seemingly unending To Do list and most of the IT chores crossed off now. Hopefully that should leave a bit more time for to attack the video editing mountain. Unfortunately, the usual demands don’t stop just because I have ‘Ground to Air’ to work on and I still have to fit that around edits of sessions, BOUND and so on. WykD_Dave has kindly offered to help out with LFAJRB footage. Yes, yes, I know the idea was to get the video out fast this year but for some inexplicable reason, I has taken until only a few weeks ago to get all the footage from Garry. Oh, the joy of being a Festival organiser 🙂
