One of Nina and I’s students, Benjamin, has gone into the rope business and he’s been doing some rather nice things with my Tossa 5mm. From what we have seen of his rope work, he’s a bit of a perfectionist who likes to get everything right and will practice till he does. As a craftsman by trade, I suspect this is a pride in his work that extends to everything he does in life. By the sound of it, this seems to also apply to his approach to rope treatment as those who have seen the results have responded with an “I can believe it’s Tossa!” reaction. I have certainly noticed he has been ordering more rope from me with increasing regularity so he must be doing something right.
I suggest you take a look for yourself as his prices are very reasonable given the amount of blood, sweat and tears that must go into treating it. You can see the love that has gone into the packaging alone. It almost seems a shame to unwrap it if it wasn’t for the prospect of wrapping your loved one in the contents 😉
