Pro-Domme shibari class: 24 October 2023
We are running the first of our new shibari workshops for pro-Dommes on Tuesday, 24th October from 2-5pm in south east London.
What to expect
The venue will be my home (see photo below), which is conveniently located in Camberwell. It is about 15 minutes walk from Oval tube station and buses run from all four points of the compass to Camberwell Green, which is about 5 minutes away. I can arrange visitor’s parking right outside the door for £5.
The first class will cover how to perform some simple, yet highly versatile, key ties for practical applications, including CBT. Like all things BDSM and sexual, good ropework is all about how you do it. In this class, you will move from simply performing the steps to tying with dominance, connection and sensuality.
There’s a common misconception that shibari is complicated. We have a tried and tested ingredients-based approach that makes tying simple and logical. Using a few basic ingredients and rules, we will show you how to quickly build your own ties to suit the person you are tying and your purpose.
We will specifically address issues like lack of flexibility and dealing with strength/weight imbalance. Weighing in at around 6.5st/41kg, Nina is an expert in dealing with weight imbalance and, between us, we have well over 30 years experience and have benefitted from tuition from Japan’s most revered pro’s. There will also be the chance to ask questions and problem solve.
Unlike most shibari workshops, this is aimed specifically at pro-Dommes. It will be a small class with a maximum of five, plus client/partner, so that we can give you individual attention and address your particular needs.

Japanese themed private session space
In addition, we can also offer a tatami matted private studio if you wish to put your new skills into practice after the class or at a later date.

What would you like from future shibari classes?
Since we are at the planning stage for future events, you have the opportunity to provide your input so we can deliver exactly what you want. How would you rank in importance: creative, sensual, sadistic, suspension and functional tying (restraint for specific SM)? Would it be useful to have a part of the time allocated to problem solving, i.e. you ask us “How would I do this?” or “What if/why does this happen/s?”. Of course, we have a pretty good idea of some of the issues you might face with clients, e.g. weight imbalance, lack of flexibility.
Let’s have some pro(Domme)-activity so we can tailor these to you. Get in touch here and have your say.
