This might be old news to seasoned Word and WordPress users but I have just figured out that you can create blog posts in Word. Sure, I knew I could, with varying degrees of success, cut’n’paste from Word etc. but I had no idea about a direct link.
There’s a blog template in Word that allows you to use most of Word’s facilities to create posts and, when you save, it automatically posts it to the selected blog category. Awesome! I have been doing battle with HTML, using WordPress’s Spartan features or, on some sites, cheating by installing an enhanced visual editor plugin. This resulted in endless frustration and head-banging. For example, trying to left top align within a table completely defeated me the other night, even cutting and pasting from other applications. Today, I tried from Word and it worked first time.
The end result of this should be better laid out, more easily readable posts with less typos.
