As you’ll see, she is an amazing performance model who clearly loves rope. We will be doing a lot more shows together as she has just moved to the UK and she will also be looking for work as a photographic bondage model. She is also being mentored by me as a rigger and performer in her own right. I have had it in mind to take on an apprentice for a long time but meeting Nina prompted me into action. I have rarely met anyone with such a dedicated interest and innate ability. She has had very little practical experience, yet seems to have gained an enormous amount from studying videos and watching others at work. Since she has drawn styles from numerous original sources, don’t expect too see much of the usual Osada Steve/Kinoko ryu in her work. Inevitably, with my mentorship, she will be exposed to this influence but I hope it will be a cross-fertilisation of ideas as I feel the need to be more original. As much as I admire this style, it is becoming somewhat ubiquitous and it is good to see something different. However, the largest part of her knowledge has been absorbed from her experience of being a model which has given her an unique perception of the rope. The speed of her progress has been almost unbelievable, since she has been here I have seen her do sessions which have been the equal of many who have had formal training and considerable practice. Here is a moment from one of those sessions:
On Saturday, she made her debut at TG Valentine’s Ball, where she performed in one of the cages with my ex-model and partner, Electric Fairie. It was a very hot power exchange inspired by a video of Serina Komuro’s show at Roppongi Mistress Bar during a multi-stage Osada Eikechi Memorial event that she had watched the previous night. I have just seen a very enthusiastic email from EF, so I know it was a big hit with her. She said:
I had an amazing experience being tied by you the other night I really love the way you play 🙂 The bit where you pulled my knickers down and tied my legs apart was so hot – no-one’s ever done that before, my boy is still fantasising about it! Hehehe!
