Teaching shibari, not just patterns
The new shibari tutorials, which I posted about recently, ‘One and two rope ties‘ for the ‘Introducing shibari: Mega-bundle’ have just been uploaded. The course bundle now has 31.5 hours of detailed shibari tutorials for just $18 pm (+tax where applicable).
The new classes use no more than two ropes and will give you an excellent insight into how much can be done with simple ‘ingredients’. These easy tutorials will help you build a solid foundation upon which to build your skills. With our expert guidance, you’ll become a shibari master-chef in no time!
There’s more to come
We will be adding more shibari tutorials on a regular basis to expand your skills. One obstacle that many people face when learning shibari is the lack of a regular partner with whom to practice their tying, so on our To Do list will be self-ties and exercises to build your rope handling skills and flow. You should aim to practice the basic ingredients until your brain forgets how you do it but your hands remember. Just think of how you perform some tasks like tying your shoelaces or finding reverse on a manual car gearbox. It can be hard to describe but you perform these actions automatically without thinking, even in the dark. Bringing your tying to this level is far more important than learning complex shibari ties, unless all you want is to create pretty patterns without really connecting with your partner.
Subscribe or buy?
The choice is yours as to whether you subscribe to ‘Introducing shibari’ to gain access to ‘One and two rope ties’ or purchase life-time access for a one-off fee. However, we believe that the ‘Mega-bundle’ offers the best value due to the sheer amount of great content. Don’t take our word for it, here’s what our students say:
“I’m reaching out to you because I’ve enrolled in a few of your online courses recently and I am blown away. I intend to take every course. My local rope community has a bad reputation for consent violators and I don’t feel comfortable associating with them. Your site gives me an alternative that actually works better for me as I like to re watch your hand motions over and over.” – Johnny Thrash
“I completed the course and loved how well the reasoning behind each movement was explained, rope efficiency and how the energy is transmitted through the rope. It’s IMPRESSIVE!!!I can’t wait to complete the next 2 courses for the same subject and soon ALL the courses” – Myself
“Awesome. Very informative and well presented. Will be very exciting to learn more of your wisdom.” JM
“I just wanted to extend a warm thank you from both myself and Minervamedica for your WONDERFUL content on shibariclasses.com It has been a truly amazing resource for us for us to learn and practice with. Of course we know it does not replicate one-on-one in person instruction…but the bang for buck cannot be understated..so we are deeply appreciative of all the work you and Nina Russ have put into this. And of course all the lovely bottoms”. – Diespater & Minervamedica
