This year we have a truely international line up. Here is the list so far, it is by no means exhaustive. Forgive me if I have missed any names or haven’t added models yet. I’ll update it as information is passed on to me. Above, you can see Ropemarks and Dutch Dame at Ropefest, who will be topping the bill on one of the nights. Each night will be unmissable. I am delighted that the line-up gives the lie to the stereotype that bondage is all about men tying women. This year, around 40% of the performers are female.

There could be well be changes, substitutions or surprise appearances. Nothing is set in stone but you can be sure of world class shows. The level of western shibari has now started to compare very favourably with Japanese standards. A couple of years ago, there were very few at performance level but now there are many top notch riggers. We are proud to show you a number of those, along with some first class presenters, at LFAJRB. Last year, we set the bar high with Kazami, Kinoko and Ichinawa-kai dominating the stage. I have no doubt that we westerners will more than hold our own, not only in traditional style kinbaku but also by bringing our own cultural influences for some very different interpretations.
