Today, we have been busy shooting the first day of ‘Japanese Rope Bondage: Ground to Air’, the new shibari suspension tutorial DVDs that follow on from where ‘Tying people, not parcels’ left off. We learned a lot from making the first tutorials and, this time, we have a team of aspiring professionals from the NTFS. It’s all being shot in HD on Canon DSLR’s which seem to be all the rage these days. Apparently, they are barely equalled by pro-kit costing many times more. We even have proper sound and lighting. I think you can already see from the little bit of behind the scenes video I shot on my camera, this is going to be another step up from the previous DVDs.
Hopefully, we can get most of the rest shot tomorrow. Then, there will be the mammoth job of editing and doing the voice-over. I can’t say how long that will take but having the footage in the can will be a great incentive to push forward.
