Bondage Awards has always seemed very American and western bondage orientated so it has had limited interest for me. Finally, I’m delighted to say, it is reflecting the upsurge in interest in shibari. I was quite surprised to find a lot of names that I knew. In previous years, I have recognised very few, although no doubt they are well-known in western and DiD circles but my knowledge of that area is pretty much non-existent. The roll call of the names includes WykD_Dave, Kinoko Hajime, Hebari, Ropemarks, Andrea Ropes, Riccardo Wildties and Nina Russ to name but a few that are familiar in kinbaku circles.
