This week Nina has been workshopping a new suspension tutorial with Sofinda. As you might know, we already have ten tutorials in the ‘Suspension techniques’ series making this the most comprehensive shaibari suspension course ever produced. In fact, we have a very special offer on the Level I bundle which you can catch if you are very quick!
To think that I originally hoped to address suspension with a couple of DVDs! I must have been crazy. Some of the individual tutorial videos run to over 90 minutes, not counting supporting material, so it would have taken a massive boxed set to get anywhere close to the detail we have on-line. Of course, the beauty of ShibariClasses is having a multi-media format we can amend, update and otherwise improve tutorials should the need arise, whereas a DVD, or book, is set in stone till the next edition.
This new tutorial will show the use of bamboo as an integral part of the tie, as opposed to using as a suspension point. The header image shows the first core tie but Nina will be adding a spectacular transition. She is also planning a second suspension with multiple bamboos. As with all Nina’s suspensions, the technique relies on brains not brawn. You are going to like this, a lot!
