More than just patterns
Most shibari tutorials are simply short step by step guides that teach you a pattern. However, we firmly believe that there is so much more to shibari than replicating a tie. Like sex, it requires technique and finesse to get the best from it and, most importantly, is not something you perform by rote. The secret is passion, reciprocity of desire and imagination. For this reason, we teach a lot more than a recipe to follow. You will learn how simple ingredients are used and how they can be combined to make ties your own, adapting to the situation.
A kit of parts
I often hear people say shibari is complicated. However, it is only as complicted as your teacher makes it. As I mentioned earlier, it uses simple ingredients, which are surprisingly limited in number, and have basic rules for their use. We will show you how even the most seemingly complex ties are comprised of repetitions or slight variations of these ingredients. With this understanding, it soon becomes very easy and logical to build your own ties or vary them according to your partner’s body or needs.
From beginner to expert
It doesn’t matter where you are on your journey, we have classes for you. If you know nothing but just want to cut to the chase with a few ties that you can use for sex and play, ‘Shibari: Quick Start Guide’ is the perfect starting place. If you want to build excellent foundations for a deeper journey, ‘Shibari: The Easy Way’ is what you need.

More advanced students will find a comprehensive 12-part suspension course, plus a range of standalone tutorials.
