As a result of having some issues with faulty media on the NTSC version (US, Canada etc. compatible format) of ‘Japanese Rope Bondage: Tying people, not parcels‘ tutorial DVDs, my suppliers ended up giving me quite a few extra DVDs. Consequently, I have a big stock imbalance between this format and PAL (UK, EU etc,). The good news is that I’m reducing the price by 1/3rd to make some space!
So, if you have an US spec DVD player, a multi-region one (what isn’t these days?) or a PC with software to play NTSC DVDs (just about any free software will do), they will work. In fact, the chances are your PAL player will be fine too and the only compatibility problem that really arises is when people try to play PAL on some US spec players. So, if you absolutely don’t need a PAL version, this is a great opportunity to pick up a bargain.
If you don’t know these tutorials, you should. They are the most authentic English language guide to shibari, as it is done in Japan. You’ll learn more than just tying pretty patterns by gaining an insight into what I mean by ‘Tying people, not parcels’. This is when bondage becomes more that mere restraint and the rope becomes a tool of communication, an expression of your will and passion.
