This offer is in part to help out my fellow UK citizens in these trying times but also to further boost home sales, which have grown steadily this year. It seems the word is spreading locally that we have a massive range in stock at better prices than many of our competitors. Another factor is all the new products we now offer.
New products
Over the past year, we have amost entirely updated our range. We have expanded it by adding a dozen and a half new colours in both jute and bamboo. That old favourites Amanawa linen hemp and Tossa have been improved to make them more flexible and softer with a new construction and more gentle twist. NewAma is the replacement for Amanawa and NewAsa for Tossa.
The flagship product is Clara Premium which is amazingly smooth and flexible, made of the very best grade jute fibre. It is every thing you would expect of top grade Japanese rope but without the short life and tendency to high-strand.
The BREXIT effect
The EU has never been a big market compared to my other worldwide sales. As it is, I am quite glad that I have never put much effort into pursuing it. I doubt it will grow much now local taxes and, sometimes, admin charges are being levied post-BREXIT. Of course, this is a double-edged sword as we now get hit with taxes on many EU imports. So much for a BREXIT deal. It seems both sides have cut off their noses to spite their faces. Let’s hope both sides see some sense. However, due to the cost of COVID and reduced revenues to tax, you can be sure goverments everywhere will be looking to claw back every penny.
Despite the profusion of US sellers, the bulk of our orders go across The Pond. Of course, free shipping and an $800 tax-free allowance helps but I think it speaks for the products, especially since so many orders are repeat.
